Constitution of Sifil AFC
Article I: Name
The name of this organization shall be Sifil Association Football Club, hereinafter referred to as "Sifil AFC."
Article II: Purpose
The purpose of Sifil Fenics AFC is to promote the sport of football within the community of Sifil Ffenics and its surrounding areas. Our primary goal is to foster a sense of community integration, inclusivity, and sportsmanship through the beautiful game.
Article III: Mission
Sifil AFC is dedicated to:
- Providing opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the sport of football.
- Promoting teamwork, discipline, and fair play among our members.
- Building strong relationships within the community through sports activities, events, and outreach programs.
- Supporting the development of players, coaches, and volunteers through training, education, and mentorship.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected
Article IV: Membership
- Membership in Sifil AFC shall be open to all individuals regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status.
- Members shall abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the club and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
- Membership privileges may include but are not limited to participation in training sessions, matches, social events, and voting in club elections.
Article V: Governance
The affairs of Sifil AFC shall be managed by an elected Executive Committee consisting of:
- Chairman
- General Secretary & Standards officer
- Club Fixtures Secretary
- Treasurer
- Safeguarding & Wellbeing officer
- Player & Coach Liaison officer
The Executive Committee shall be responsible for making decisions regarding club operations, finances, and strategic planning.
Elections for the Executive Committee shall be held annually, and all club members in good standing shall be eligible to vote and stand for election.
Article VI: Finances
Sifil AFC shall operate on a non-profit basis, and all funds raised or received shall be used solely for the benefit of the club and its members.
The Treasurer shall keep accurate records of all financial transactions and present a financial report at regular intervals to the Executive Committee and club members.
Following registration as a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club), the financial accounts of Sifil AFC shall be subject to an annual audit or review by an independent auditor or committee appointed by the Executive Committee.
Article VII: Amendments
This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the club members present at a general meeting, if notice of the proposed amendment has been given to all members at least thirty days in advance.
Any proposed amendments to this constitution must be submitted in writing to the Secretary and circulated to all club members prior to the vote.
Article VIII: Dissolution
In the event of the dissolution of Sifil AFC, any remaining assets shall be distributed to one or more charitable organizations or community groups as determined by the Executive Committee.
The decision to dissolve the club must be approved by a two-thirds majority vote of the club members present at a general meeting, with at least thirty days' notice given to all members.
Article IX: Ratification
This constitution shall be ratified upon approval by a majority vote of the founding members of Sifil AFC.
